The draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2025–2029

Project Overview

Building on the progress of our first DAIP (2020–2023), the draft Plan focuses on removing barriers to participation and improving equal access to services, spaces, programs and employment opportunities.

It aligns with South Australia’s State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029 and is structured around five domains: Inclusive Environments and Communities, Education and Employment, Personal and Community Support, Health and Wellbeing and Safety, Rights and Justice.

The draft DAIP includes an overview of:

  • Legislative requirements
  • Disability in our region and more broadly
  • The role of Local Government
  • Our continuing work from our previous DAIP
  • The priority groups and the role of intersectionality
  • The inclusion domains, outcomes framework, measures and our actions
  • Our accountability, performance and reporting requirements
  • How we will deliver our plan

We encourage feedback from people living with disability, carers, service providers and community members.
Your input will help refine the final Plan before it goes to Council for adoption.

  • Community Consultation
