The Rural City of Murray Bridge is seeking community feedback on the future use of the proceeds from the sale of Lerwin Residential Aged Care. Following the completion of the sale, Council now has approximately $3.45 million available and wants to ensure these funds are used to deliver a direct and lasting benefit for the community.
This 21-day consultation is an opportunity for the community to help shape who should benefit from these funds and the types of community outcomes they should support. Council is particularly interested in ideas that promote community wellbeing and help people live well and thrive, with benefits that can be felt for years to come.
Feedback received will help inform Council's decisions about how the Lerwin sale proceeds can best create an enduring legacy for current and future generations. Council is not seeking suggestions for specific projects or financial management arrangements at this stage, but rather community views on the outcomes and groups that should benefit.
